Overview
Moegi no Yu is a day-trip hot spring facility located in Okutama Town, western Tokyo. It sits along the Tama River, about a 10-minute walk from Okutama Station, the terminus of the JR Ome Line.
The outdoor bath overlooking the Tama River gorge is its main attraction, offering especially beautiful views during the fresh green season and autumn foliage. It has been a beloved post-hike destination for Okutama area hikers for many years.

Access
From JR Ome Line Okutama Station, walk toward the Tama River for about 10 minutes along the riverside path.
- Train: From Shinjuku Station, take JR Chuo Line rapid to Ome, transfer to JR Ome Line to Okutama Station (about 2 hours total)
- Car: About 40 minutes from Ome IC on the Ken-O Expressway (free parking for ~30 cars)
Tip: On weekends and holidays, the facility can become crowded and may implement entry limits. Arriving before 3 PM is recommended.

Hub for Okutama Hiking
Okutama Station is a hub for buses to multiple trailheads including Mt. Kumotori, Mt. Mitake, and Mt. Kawanori. After your hike, simply take the bus back to Okutama Station and walk over.
